BKFC 2 Thailand: Fani Peloumpi edges Souris Manfredi to win inaugural women’s strawweight title

Fani Peloumpi of Greece is your inaugural BKFC women’s strawweight champion.

Peloumpi took a narrow split-decision victory over French opponent Souris Manfredi to become the company’s first female strawweight champion Saturday.

The judges scored it 49-48, 47-48, and 49-48 for Peloumpi.


Manfredi took to her Instagram page to release a short statement on the fight.

I wana thank my team @lookyamotrainingcampofficial and my coach @coachcharlton
All the people present in a way or another.

Wasn’t the result I was thinking but life is so.
Ain’t the first time that I missed closely the belt result.
Either I stop either I continue and I progress. I did chose the second option.

With the win, Peloumpi won her BKFC debut. She previously compete in Muay Thai. Manfredi dropped to 1-1-0 under the company banner.
