Bellator 285: Leah McCourt returns to face Dayana Silva in Dublin

Once again, Irish women’s featherweight Leah McCourt will have the hometown crowd at her back, this time at Bellator 285 in September.

The bout was initially reported by SevereMMA on May 27, and confirmed by Bellator later.

McCourt (6-2-0), 29, fell short in her last fight against Irish colleague Sinead Kavanaghna at Bellator 275 in Feruary, but she is ready to leapfrog into the title shot conversation once again.

But she’ll have to do it against Brazilian challenger Dayana Silva (10-7-0), 31, who is looking to steal some momentum herself after splitting her last four contests after arriving from the Dana White Contender Series.

Bellator 285 is scheduled for Sept. 23 at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. Current bouts include:
