UFC Vegas 56: Volkov vs. Rozenstruik predictions

The UFC returns to the UFC Apex in Las Vegas where heavyweights Alexander Volkov and Jairzinho Rozenstruik battle in the main event.

ODE OSBOURNE (10-4-0) VS. ZARRUKH ADASHEV (4-3-0)

Andrews: Close fight on paper. I am going with the experience of Osbourne here.

Andrews Prediction: Ode Osbourne via UD

ASKAR MOZHAROV (19-12-0) VS. ALONZO MENIFIELD (11-3-0)

Andrews: Mozharov is making his UFC debut. He has plenty of international experience but I have to go with Menifield to figure it out in the octagon. Maybe he takes him to the ground as Mozharov has a lot of taps.

Andrews Prediction: Alonzo Menifield via submission

KARINE SILVA (14-4-0) VS. POLIANA BOTELHO (8-4-0)

Andrews: You heard Dana rave about this fight above and for good reason. Silva did well on the DWCS and despite making her debut, I think Botelho gets stopped for the first time.

Andrews Prediction: Karine Silva via TKO

MICHAEL TRIZANO (9-2-0) VS. LUCAS ALMEIDA (13-1-0)

Andrews: I will take technical skills over brawling just about every time. You heard Dana talk about this fight. I expect Trizano to take advantage of openings and emerge with the decision.

Andrews Prediction: Michael Trizano via UD

#10 DAN IGE (15-5-0) VS. #13 MOVSAR EVLOEV (15-0-0)

Andrews: Ige is a solid fighter, but I wonder if he can handle the constant adjustments and technical skills of Evloev, who should pick Ige apart.

Andrews Prediction: Movsar Evolve via UD

MAIN EVENT

#7 ALEXANDER VOLKOV VS. #8 JAIRZINHO ROZENSTRUIK (12-3-0)

Andrews: Volkov should be motivated to do better this time, but he seems susceptible to smaller guys with power like Rozenstruik. Volkov disappointed me against Aspinall and I’m not confident he can avoid the power shot here and get the fight to the ground.

Andrews Prediction: Jairzinho Rozenstruik via TKO
