UFC Fight Night 209: Austin Lingo takes on David Onama

UFC featherweight Austin Lingo returns to action in July at UFC Fight Night 209, where he will take on David Onama.

The UFC has not officially confirmed this bout yet, but both Lingo and Onama have revealed the bout on their Instagram pages.

Lingo (9-1-0), 27, who trains at Fortis MMA in Dallas, has a pair of decision victories in his pocket after losing his UFC debut back in 2020. This fight is the last one on his contract, so it’s no question that a lot of UFC eyes will be looking at this one. After settling some family affairs in 2021 with his marriage to Jackie Hamilton, “Lights Out” is looking to maintain his momentum in the octagon in 2022 with a big win.

Meanwhile, Onama (9-1-0), collected an impressive knockout win over Gabriel Benitez in his last fight after losing his debut in October 2021. The “Silent Assassin” trains out of Kansas City with Glory MMA and Fitness and is looking to add to his 100 per cent finish rate in July.
