The UFC’s debut in Paris will feature the country’s former interim UFC heavyweight champion, Ciryl Gane and Australian Tai Tuivasa.
The UFC confirmed earlier the expected main event matchup earlier today in a tweet and by both fighters on social media.
It’s worth noting that France legalized MMA in 2020 after a long political debate. All eyes will be on the UFC to put on a convincing show.
Gane (10-1-0), 32, suffered his first loss to Francis Ngannou trying to unify the heavyweight title with Francis Ngannou at UFC 270 in January. He will attempt to keep his No. 1 ranking with a big win in front of his home crowd in Paris.
Meanwhile, Tuivasa (14-3-0), 29, is ranked No. 3 and is surging after dispatching Derrick Lewis in his last fight at UFC 271 in February. The Aussie has won five straight, all by TKO r KO.
