PFL 5 is set for Friday June 24 in Atlanta and the event features Season 2021 heavyweight champion Bruno Cappelozza and former UFC champion Anthony Pettis.
The card will feature fighters from the heavyweight, featherweight, and lightweight divisions. In a nod to the city of Atlanta and its popular NBA Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins, the PFL invited him to watch some highlights and it was naturally, a slam-dunk.
Cappelozza (15-5-0) will look to build on his previous win at PFL 2 and break the logjam atop the heavyweight standings with a finish over Matheus Scheffel (15-8-0), who is looking for his first PFL victory.
The co-main event features a pair of former UFC veterans in Anthony Pettis (25-12-0) and Stevie Ray (23-10-0) competing at lightweight. Pettis won his first bout emphatically at PFL 3 and is atop the leaderboard, while Ray dropped a tough unanimous decision at PFL 1.
