Watch: Canelo vs. GGG 3 press conference

Matchroom CEO Eddie Hearn presided over the final Canelo vs. GGG 3 press conference and most interesting was hearing from the fighters on the stacked undercard.

Hearn deftly summarized each matchup, getting some engaging thoughts from the fighters for their fight. It seems everyone knows this is a big card and it’s time to put on a show if they want to further their careers.

Of course, the spotlight was on the main event – Canelo Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs), 32, and Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs), 40. Alvarez. Alvarez, as usual, spoke in Spanish accompanied by his trainer, Eddie Reynoso, while Golovkin was flanked by his trainer Johnathan Banks.

Canelo vs. GGG 3 is set for Saturday Sept. 17 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It airs on DAZN pay-per-view beginning at 8 p.m. ET.  The card is:

  • Jesse Rodriguez vs. Israel Gonzalez for the WBC super flyweight title
  • Ali Akhmedov vs. Gabriel Rosado; Super middleweight
  • Austin Williams vs. Kieron Conway; Middleweight
  • Diego Pacheco vs. Enrique Collazo; Super middleweight
  • Marc Castro vs. Kevin Mendoza; Lightweight
  • Aaron Apone vs. Fernando Molina; Super lightweight
  • Anthony Herrera vs. Delvin McKinley; Super flyweight
